When a relationship is struggling, it can impact everything. But you don’t have to wait until everything is falling apart to get started. I’m Taylor Luttrell-Deeds, M.S., PLPC and I would be honored to help you achieve these goals and more.
What is Couples Counseling?
Short answer: Couples therapy is designed to help you and your partner improve your relationship through various tools and techniques.
Longer answer: We, as individuals, have our own unique experiences, beliefs, personalities, and challenges. So as you can imagine, when you bring two individuals together, it can take a lot of hard work to navigate those differences. But it’s not impossible.
Personally, I love LOVE! I believe we all deserve to have someone in our lives that loves and respects us – even with our flaws. Your relationship won’t always been perfect. It may even look messy and complicated at times. But {healthy} love is always worth it!
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and also utilize the Gottman approach with my couples. My specialties include teaching couples about healthy conflict and communication, encouraging deep, meaningful conversations, as well as helping to enhance intimacy in their day to day lives.
I also work with couples who are struggling with different sexual desires and needs, those working through an affair or betrayal, as well as couples who are struggling with big life changes. In my opinion, no problem is too small, and no matter what challenges you are bringing to the table, we can feel and heal our way through it together.
DISCLAIMER: I am not here to take sides. During each session, I will hold space for both individuals’ unique experiences, beliefs, personalities, and challenges, while also helping you find a greater understanding and connection to your partner. I will challenge you and your partner when needed, and help you navigate your way to a strong, healthier relationship!

Every couple is different, which means all sessions are tailored to your unique needs, wants, and goals.
The first session focuses on information gathering and getting to know you as a couple and then as individuals. From there, sessions are customized to you and your comfort levels. Some couples want to dive right in to the harder, more challenging topics, while other couples want to start slower and focus on communication skills and strengths. Both approaches work!
Together, we will also assess what frequency works best for your progress, your budget, and your schedule.
